In a white room, 22 framed clichés of
contemporay Thailand give a
reinterpetation of the 22 major arcana
of the Marseille tarot, now widely popular
among Bangkok fortune tellers

In a dark room, performing as a monstrous
augur, I welcome the visitors one
by one, reading their fortune on a
random draw of 4 images projected
on the walls.

A critical experiment on the reception
of images by their viewers, Toyland
questions the supersition invested in the
photographs of the outside world, and of
the « exotic other ».
